Legos are toys, but they are also the source of amazing designs. LEGO artists use the small plastic bricks for everything from robots to architecture. He came up with a new element for this year, namely the curved slope. It lets Lego users create more slanted shapes, while adhering to the company’s strict color palette. The slopes can be used to create more dynamic shapes, for example, an incline staircase.
Some Lego sets are the result of the work of professional designers, while others are the product of the well-known Lego Ideas program. The Ideas line offers anyone the chance to create a set and get it built, granting fame and a percent of sales to designers who is able to convince 10,000 fellow designers that their design is worthy of being go into production. It’s not a surprise that the most elaborate and stunning sets often receive the most support, especially when they have iconic characters or scenes from films or television shows, or in real life.
